Y.Sabb.IV, end, 7a אילו מאן דנסב מ׳וכ׳ if one takes a tuft of wool and puts it on his head in cold weather. Y.Yoma VIII, 44d top; Y.Taan.I, 64c תרי מ׳ soaked a tuft. 2) a garment made of (plucked) wool (v. P. Sm. 2224; Arab. mirṭ species indumenti ex lana ), a coarse garment. Targ. Prov. 25:20. Ib. 27:13.Pl. מַרְטוּטִין. Y.Maas. Sh. I, 52d bot. עד כדון … תליין ביה מַרְטוּטֵיכֹון (not … טכין) R. S. is still alive, and you hang your garments on him, i. e. you refer to him as your authority!
